About Fractional

Fractional is an applied-AI company based in Porto/Braga, Portugal, but working remotely with a few in-person workdays. We design and build AI agents and systems for Portuguese SMEs — not prototypes or dashboards, but systems that go live in production and replace real manual work: reconciling invoices, managing HR, running audits, processing credit applications. We have 20+ systems live in production with clients like Casa Financeira, Wewood, Dehouse, and Train your Dog.

We also build our own products: forhumans (an AI-native HR platform) and foraudits (an AI-native audit and compliance platform, partnered with the Instituto Português da Qualidade).

We work in small, hands-on teams that go from design to delivery, fast.

About the role

You'll own product direction for forhumans, our AI-native HR platform — from team management and absences to documents, payroll operations, and AI-driven recruitment workflows. You'll shape the roadmap based on real usage from our first paying clients and turn HR operations expertise into product decisions.

What you'll do

• Define and own the product roadmap for forhumans
• Translate HR operations pain points into product requirements and prioritized features
• Work closely with engineering and clients to validate what actually gets used
• Set up the feedback loops and metrics that guide the product post-launch

What we're looking for

• Hands-on HR operations expertise — you understand how HR actually runs day-to-day (people ops, absences, documents, recruitment, compliance)
• Product sense: ability to turn operational pain points into a clear, prioritized roadmap
• Comfortable working in an early-stage, pre-scale environment where the product is still finding its shape
